Standard rates

Translation: CHF 4 per line* plus VAT**
Proofreading/editing/quality assurance: CHF 120 per hour plus VAT**

* A “line” is a standard unit comprising 55 characters, including spaces. The total number of characters in a Word document, for example, can be seen under “Word Count”. Physical pages are meaningless when it comes to calculating text volume because a single A4 page can contain anything from zero to 60 lines of text, sometimes even more.

** I’m required to charge Swiss VAT at 7.7% on all jobs billed within Switzerland (my VAT number is CHE-113.778.641 MWST). Jobs billed outside Switzerland are VAT-exempt.
